Bloggin – DIY edition

Blume who?  Blume you!  We customized some name patch emblems for some fashionable bloggers and got some fantastic inspiration- thanks crafty ladies!

Kimberlee from I have a Degree in This! kicked off the creative project with an easy fun hair accessory.

Jerrica of Fashion Nostalgia showed off her style on her shorts.

Others decided to use their personalized patches to promote their blogs:

Keepin for Blume sake!

Ahh- the little ones and their little clothes are so cute!

But let’s face it, time flies and as babies grow- their clothes usually grow out the door.  So what to do with personalized embroidered name patch items that are just too cute to part with??   Hmm… well the Waldman family came up with an easy solutionPass that hand me down to a favorite stuffed animal!!  Good idea!  and looks like more Blume fans are in on the trend.

We love it!!  So glad the cute stuffed animals get to gear up in Blume.  What a clever and fun way to keep on keepin Blume!

Barneys New York

Yay!  Our Little Man Tie Tees made “The Window” and Barneys Fashion Director, Amanda Brooks, shared a fun story about why her son needs this staple in his wardrobe…

When I go to Europe this week for resort appointments and a few couture shows, my two kids will head to stay with their grandmother.   My biggest challenge came when my mom informed me that my son would need a tie for dinner at her club. The idea of a little boy in formal wear seems so “little man” to me, but Barneys provided the perfect (albeit slightly irreverent) solution—a t-shirt with an actual tie sewn onto the front of it. For me, it’s a twenty-first century compromise on the formal boy look. Now I’m just crossing my fingers that he doesn’t get chucked out of the dining room!

Ah- cool!  No worries Amanda, we are sure your guy will be the best dressed tot there.  Dapper Dude Vest Tees and Little Man Tie Shirts are an adorable hip take on old school formal attire.

Undie Run – Philanthropy Gets Sexy!

Imagine 2,500 pounds of clothes being stripped off of more than 1,000 students. Now imagine that happening AT more than 15 different college campuses. No, THIS WASN’T a random act of streaking, it was RANDOM ACT OF PHILANTHROPY for the Undie Run!  That’s right, this year college students across the nation were able to unwind after finals by undressing to run the streets in their skivvies- all for a good cause.

And of course, BLUME was there!  We were very happy to be the official sexy sponsor of the Undie Run– along with Virgin Mobile and a special appearance by The Naked Cowboy.

The Undie Run raised money (and eyebrows) for charities in their respective local communities.  About 120,000 or more students have participated in the event with 60,000 pounds of clothing donated since its inception in 2007 going to over 20 charities like LifeWorks and Trinity Center in Austin and Green Chimneys in New York City.

We loved being a part of it… a good time for a good cause = Blumebastic!
